For the truly brave, they can enter Uber Mode. This gives the player full control of both ships. Each ship is linked to one of the control sticks on the 360's controller, and if that sounds insane and fraught with mind bending difficulty, it is.

Through the mass of star-bursting levels in Schizoid we are treated to some flashy visuals that look like they are drawn from strands of light. It is what one would expect from an XBLA game, yet done in a creative fashion that doesn't get old through the large amount of content.
What does get old though is the actual content. 120 levels of fresh play is a very lofty goal, and Schizoid begins to feel very samey around level 65. At times it feels like because the developers couldn't find a creative way to present a concept they already covered, so they ramp up the difficulty to insane levels. Or populate a familiar area with some of the most annoying enemies in the game.

If you and a buddy are in for some cerebral, co-op fun then I would recommend Schizoid. But if you don't specifically have someone that is willing to brave the insanity with you, then you may find the repetitive play and emptiness of a computer character irritating. Sure you could hunt down a new friend on LIVE, but generally that ends in an uncooperative mess that is even crazier than the game.
