Molyneux's RPG goes the LittleBigPlanet route with its online co-op.
Earlier this week we found out through PlayStation.com forum thread that LittleBigPlanet would not come with the promised online multiplayer level editing. Now, Microsoft has announced that its upcoming RPG Fable II from developer Lionhead Studios will be missing a key online feature when it releases.
The two-player online cooperative play hyped by Peter Molyneux and company will not be included on the Fable II disc when it ships to retail. Instead, a patch will come "within the first week of release" according to the Gamerscore blog.
The game will still have the full single-player campaign and local two-player co-op. However, much like LittleBigPlanet, excluding such a hyped-feature and telling gamers to wait for it seems sketchy.
